 Our Consignment Process is simple and straightforward

Review our FAQ below, make an appointment, and bring your items by our shop! We will sort through your items, list what we accept, and you will receive a payout if your item sells within 60 days of listing.

Appointment

Book an appointment via email or IG Messenger. In your appointment, Ali will hand select the items acceptable for consignment. Max 30 items accepted at a time.

 

Listing

Your items will be for sale in our shop for 60 days.

 

Payout

If your item is sold within the resale period, you will receive a payout at the end of 60 days. Payment is provided through check, Venmo, or cash if under $30. Payment can also be provided in the form of store credit, and purchasing clothing with store credit gets an automatic 10% discount.

What is Consignment?

Consignment by definition is an agreement to pay a supplier of goods after the goods are sold. So, when you consign your clothes with us, we take a percentage of the sale, and you take a percentage of the sale!

How much do I make if I consign with you?

Olive My Stuff offers a 60/40 split, so the consignor (you!) makes 40%. Any designer handbags can be considered for 40/60 split where 60% goes to consignor by discretion of store owner.

What clothing items do you NOT accept?

We do NOT accept jewelry, undergarments, scarves, hats, and gloves.

How do the items sell? What do I have to do?

All items are sold in my storefront or through social media posts made by my store. Each consignor gets assigned a number, and you can check your account through www.myresaleweb.com. You can see what is sold and what is owed to you. The system will also email you every time I process your item into the system.

How long will you attempt to sell my item(s)?

Once items are processed into the system, they stay active for 60 days. The item will go on sale after 30 days down to 25% off, and then 50% off after 50 days. At 60 days, they expire and the consignor has 7 days to pick up if they want their items back.

Why should I shop consigned clothing?

There are many reasons why customers should shop consignment! Most people love the prices for less on brand they love - especially when they don’t want to pay full price or can’t afford to pay full price. Consignment is also a great way to shop sustainably. Many brands create their items cheaply and sell them for cheap, so people don’t feel bad for just getting rid of them. Consignment shops like Olive My Stuff give clothing items second life!

Why should I consign my clothes?

It’s FUN to make money - especially on high-end brands and styles! Plus, it’s easier to drop off your clothes with us, than have to take photos, list your items, and ship them through other online sites.

What clothing items do you accept?

Olive My Stuff accepts seasonal clothing and shoes for teen girls and adult women, as well as sunglasses and high end handbags. We accept sizes XS-PLUS.

What criteria does my item need to meet in order for you to accept it?

All items must be no more than 2-3 years old. Items must be clean, and folded in a basket (and please, no plastic garbage bags!) Items can be sold for higher prices when they are pressed/steamed and hung. Any sneakers or shoes must be in near-new condition, and in their original box.

Do I get the money for the product when I drop it off?

No, all payouts are made once the item sells.

What if my item doesn’t sell?

If your item doesn’t sell after 60 days, My Resale Web System will email you to pick up or donate your unsold items. We really try to push donating your items! We donate to local shelters in Bridgeport, Operation Hope, and local families in need. We do NOT donate to Goodwill!

Do you offer gift cards?

We do! We offer physical gift cards in our storefront location, at 39 Sanford Street in Fairfield, CT.
